The collection Roxy Heart by Laura Figueras takes its inspiration from the chic version of 1980s Hawaii: A collection brought to life by this blending of the exotic and the romantic. The result of this collaboration between Valérie Thévenot and Laura Figueras is a capsule collection made up of 32 flowing and airy pieces made of silk and signed Laura, but also made of cotton and fine jersey. Two major prints were developed with the Spanish illustrator Sante Rodriguez: a sophisticated Hawaiian print of exotic flowers mixed in with a romantic liberty satin and a print of interlocking parrots that form a floral pattern. From Laura's style come pouring out dresses, oversize tops, pants and high-waisted skirts, a blazer matched with Bermuda shorts and a white leather jacket. The tops' ruffles call to mind Hawaiian leis, the cuts are asymmetrical. A collection highlighted by blue, grey, and black and tinted with sparkling colours like pink, yellow and coral. The model baptised as "Hawaii" is a small, short flowing dress made of silk crepe. Printed in a Hawaiian liberty satin and hemmed with asymmetrical ruffles all along it for a figure that is at once sophisticated and relaxed. The "Tanaka" white leather jacket in the perfecto style of the 1950s with asymmetrical cut and zippers; inside lining made of coral floral cotton print. Mao collar and visible top stitching in matching tones. Also, the "Pi Body" model marks the return of the body, the very low neckline and sleeves with wide and airy shapes - and "Oahu" - a coral-coloured fine jersey jumpsuit, with a high waist gathered by a string that ties at the hip and thin straps that highlight femininity and freshness. The "Francis Icepick" pants, whose shape is very much inspired by pants from the 1980s with a high waist and double belt. The "Magnum" knitted shorts, inspired by the famous American TV series, to be worn with its matching blazer - branded shoulders, short sleeves -- a men's suit trend! This line is embellished with accessories: oversize scarf made of silk voile and cotton, padded white bag, very 80s belt and fringed sandals. The collection Roxy Heart by Laura Figueras will be available throughout Europe starting in February 2010, in selected independent stores.
